Me and the Chef are back for another installment of Cookin with the GIANTS!! Be sure to check out the new segment chalk talk.... Listen to our thoughts on the complete post draft recap heres the link.........
Welcome back guys. A few things we should talk about. Some football some cooking for the Chef
Chef. This ones for you. Baby back ribs. I use my favorite rub. Cut them in half. I get my rub from the Amish market up the street. Put them in a crock pot Poor a hole 2 liter of Coca-Cola cook on low for about 5-6 hours. Real carefully remove them. Put them on the grill real hot with your favorite BBQ sauce. No lie. You can pull the bone right out of them without disturbing the meat. So freaking good.
Second question. Your pulled pork. What do you use for meat. I always get shoulder bone in. But sometimes it pulls right apart but sometimes it doesn’t. Just your take on meat
I think if we are going to break down the draft and free agency we should dig a little deeper into Shurmur and Getchner. I will start with Shurmur. Yes agree an 3 receiver is needed but I’m thinking you won’t see as much 11 personnel as last year. Maybe very little. Shurmur is student of Ried and absolutely loves his TEs and Backs. Probably why Barkley was the pick. He fits Shurmur philosophy on building a playbook. Shurmur has a wild card he can use and audible with Eli checking the offense in and out of plays. Look for more 12 personnel this year with Shurmur and Shula Ellison And Engram With Shepherd and Beckham out wide. Engram can be motioned our wide into an 11 Personnel package if they are crowding the box getting him 1 on 1. If there is room they can check back into a 12 personnel. I look to see more of that then your traditional 11 personnel that we seen with MaCadoo or 3 receiver sets Shurmur may even use a lot of 3 TE sets
Getchner defense uses almost 3 DTs down line. Lining up snacks 0 point and Hill and Tomlinson in 2 point stance. A 3-4 uses bigger DEs or smaller faster DTs as and end controlling both Guards and the center and if they can 1 tackle. Carter Martin and Vernon will strictly line up in a 5 point or 4 point stance setting the edge vs run forcing them into Ogletree. Gay was the older guy you talked about and couldn’t remember his name. Don’t forget Gettleman is a big culture guy. Gay is that guy. He can play Nickle or outside. He can even play that 3rd saftey role if needed. He is a sound tackler The undrafted free agent corner from Penn St slipped my mind but he has a shot as our 4th corner
Don’t forget that a lot of these DBs Gettleman brought in are not stars but white and blue chip guys that are SP teams Aces. And SP Teans are absolutely key to success

It was actually Sam Summer. DELICIOUS!!!!!!! ILOVE THE INPUT FELLAS AND FEEDBACK!!! Lazur sounds like you know your $%^&! we gotta have you on the show!!! I'm gonna let the chef answer your cooking questions. But whatever he does, COPY IT!
lazur, what’s good brotha, I make my own rub for every occasion. Whether I’m working in the kitchen at work or home, I make rubs for turkey breasts, ribs, chicken, pulled pork. I also make my own taco seasoning. But to answer your question I have a crock pot but I don’t use it I don’t like it. It’s a giants one that was given to me by a friend for Christmas. I have two Dutch ovens at home instead. First I like baby backs more then the St. Louis rub. I don’t know where you all live but i get my ribs from Main St Meat market in Farmingdale NY it used to be on wfan commercials. I put char or grill marks on them with my rub granulated garlic powder, granulated onion, Mustard powder, chili powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, kosher salt, pepper, sweet paprika, and a little dried chipotle pepper. I make my own honey chipotle bbq sauce as well unless I do Koren Bbq ribs. But I’ll mark it off get the char flavor and wrap them in aluminum foil and set them on low flame for 3 hours. Pulled pork, I use pork butt sometimes shoulder. I slice vadalia onions, pineapple juice, light brown sugar, sweet paprika, cloves of garlic salt coarse black pepper and orange wedges. I’ll braise it in my Dutch oven for 51/2 6 hours at 325 degrees. But now to add to the football, I’m going to be honest, we missed on getting good cb’s in the draft with the second 3rd round pick. William gay slipped my mind, and so did Patrick Ohmama. It’s a new show my mind will get into it more. I’m ok with the 3-4 scheme just makes me nervous running it if we don’t have the right personal in there after the 53 man roster is named. Look I’m going to trust what Gettleman has put out there and until he proves me wrong I along with other giants fans will address it. But I’m glad you all love the show. Football has been my life way before the culinary life. Keep coming with the questions. That will add to more material too our show. Thanks everyone on here who has supported chris and I already.
I would love to be on the show. U guys probably are 2-3 hours away depending on where you live in city Plus I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old. Both boys lol. Guys at work say I should have a you tube channel or podcast but I never do it.
I’m a game plan kind of thinker. I see players like Manning Odell Barkley Engram Vernon Carter Collins Ogletree and Jenkins on paper but I like to see how the coaches put together a game plan. Adjust in a game and how these players can put what there told into a good play on the field. To me it’s more brains of it. Something the Giants have not had in a long time
I keep telling myself games are not won in the NFL they are lost. Teams beat themselves more then another team just going out there and whipping up in another team
Lazur, yea dude I have to find ways around doing the show with my 2 year old and work. We will manage. But some how some way we will get a bunch of you guys on through the show as our insiders. Also yea anaylitics can kiss my a**. Everyone needs to put labels and numbers on things it’s ridiculous.
Congrats on the 2 year old!! Mine is so fun. I have a fenced in backyard. We take the football out and socker ball. T ball etc. he has a blast. Kid loves music too. Bon Jovi and Elton John. Shocked about Elton lol
That would be fun though. I wonder how these guys get on tv other then being an x player. I would love to talk football and get paid for it. I literally live 10 minuets away from NFL films building !! Would love to be on the show. What they need is a fans view on the league !!!
freide: As buts go I would put flowers in the Ron Dayne's class.

uther99: The Oline is just too bad to compete. If you max protect, how many WRs go out, 2? That's 2 WRs against 7 defenders, good luck.
