"It's about winning...We're not spending $62.5 million on Nate Solder, or spending the money on Patrick Ohmameh, and we're not trading for Alec Ogletree if we're in tear-down. We're not doing that. We've evaluated the roster. We've developed a plan moving forward. It's about winning now. I mean, who wants to lose? I don't." -Dave Gettleman
Our D sucks. We need some big time players Eli tried to thread 3 players....not a good play.
With potential supplemental draft choices the Giants may well wind up with 10 picks, I'd be happy if they used 8 of them on defense. Sign an FA Center like Paradis, draft a QB and RT and then go to town drafting defensive players. Next week has to be the last Giants game ever for Goodson, Riley and BW Webb. Goodson is always slow to the hole, can't tackle and couldn't cover Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Riley is a practice team player at best and BW Webb is embarrassing, did you hear Kevin Harlin say he was PFF's 115th ranked CB. DG appears to have drafted well on defense with only 5 picks, I'm confident he can get some really good players in this next draft. They need a real NT so that they can slide Tomlison over to where he belongs and when they take the field next season at a minimum they need a new starting edge rusher, NT, FS and ILB. If they cut Eli or OV along with no brainer cuts like Stewart and Barwin that will bring them close to $50MM in cap space. That's enough to sign two need FA's, I'm thinking a Center and perhaps FS. This shyte show can be turned around if done correctly and btw, don't sleep on Nick Foles. The Eagles are 11MM over the cap and Foles is counting as $18M with only $6M in dead money. They have very few cap casualty options, so it could come down to making a decision between Foles or Wentz. I'd gladly take Foles, he's a winner and only 29. I'm not saying that's the best option but he's not a bad one.
I really don't understand the negativity. We're playing a very good team, fighting for their lives on their home field. Indy is a team that struggled a little bit early but is playing very well now and is the whole package. We take them down to the last second of the game, with a mediocre defense, a bad offensive line and missing one ofthe most dynamic Playmakers in the game. And all we're going to hear is how bad Eli was and how he failed at the end. I even think we got the short end of the stick from the refs and still kept it close. Eli, Ephraim and Barkeley with a minor to Shepherd. We were basically a three-man team holding a playoff-caliber team to a standstill. Kudos to the coach staff, kudos to an overmatched team that kept it close

uther99: The Oline is just too bad to compete. If you max protect, how many WRs go out, 2? That's 2 WRs against 7 defenders, good luck.

GordonG: Homer, I hope you get good news this week. Like Troy, I also beat cancer. I was fortunate that it was caught very early. So early that it could have easily been diagnosed as benign.
