Sloppy reporting. Seems to be more common these days. Or maybe we just have more tools to fact check.
"It's about winning...We're not spending $62.5 million on Nate Solder, or spending the money on Patrick Ohmameh, and we're not trading for Alec Ogletree if we're in tear-down. We're not doing that. We've evaluated the roster. We've developed a plan moving forward. It's about winning now. I mean, who wants to lose? I don't." -Dave Gettleman

Another Gettleman failure.
"The thing that makes him (Saquon Barkley) different is he has the feet and speed of a little guy, with the power and strength of a big guy," Gettleman said. "That’s what makes him so darn unique. He’s different. It’s like he was touched by the hand of God, frankly."
What was the point of stewart last year ? Forget that he got hurt, he was done 2 years ago.
Gentleman could have found much better ways to use that money.
Stewart was brought in to mentor Saquan...and to keep him away from the WR crew. He was essentially an additional coach, but had more credibility and approachability for the young franchise talent because he was a teammate.
Now that they are comfortable Saquan has a good head on his shoulders, Stewart isn't needed anymore.
freide: As buts go I would put flowers in the Ron Dayne's class.

uther99: The Oline is just too bad to compete. If you max protect, how many WRs go out, 2? That's 2 WRs against 7 defenders, good luck.

GordonG: Homer, I hope you get good news this week. Like Troy, I also beat cancer. I was fortunate that it was caught very early. So early that it could have easily been diagnosed as benign.
