He's getting a lot of buzz, a true blue chipper and most mocks have him going to the Lions or the Giants. So why have I not read ANYWHERE that he's a local and may even be a Giants fan. Jeff or Jeffrey as I knew him when he was my sons youth football teammate for two years is from Parsippany. He moved when he entered high school but spent his elementary and middle school years living 25 miles from the Meadowlands. I'm positive this is the kid I knew, I remember going to practice every night and his father Sam would stand by himself and film his every single rep. Has anyone else read anything about his local roots? I feel like I'm in an echo chamber, either that or maybe I'm going crazy.
I admit to not knowing anything about him, but I do know the Giants have a horrible record with drafting corners, especially in the first round. The last really good corner they drafted high was Phillippi Sparks in the 90s. They got Sehorn around that same time but he wasn't a high pick. Sure, Aaron Ross was okay for a few years, but wasn't a shutdown corner by any means. The Giants have a bigger need at OT than any other position, in my opinion. You don't sign free agent tackles, you draft tackles. Free agent ones cost a lot for just average players, as we've seen with Solder. We also need a defensive pass rusher or play-maker such as Simmons. If someone could 100% promise me he'd be another Darrelle Revis then yeah I would want them to draft him, but obviously that's not possible. Its a big gamble, and I sure don't like the Giants history with first round corners.

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.
