David Syvertsen @ourlads_Sy · 38s #218 NYG: Carter Coughlin - EDGE/Minnesota
40 career TFL + 22.5 career sacks. Sneaky athlete that will be a "multiple" LB for NYG defense that wants to be able to change schemes weekly. A natural in coverage, effective with his hands as a rusher, and plays low

Very impressive video. Most impressive for me was the play that he worked his way across the LOS to stop a run. At a minimum I expect him to be a key special teams guy. He could end up being the huge steal that my gut told me the Giants would come away with when I saw they had 4 seventh round picks.
I think it’s his size. To small to be a edge rusher and a little stiff and lack of ability to cover to be a every down linebacker. It wouldn’t shock me to see him beat out a guy like Carter though. Carter is an amazing athlete but lacks the mental part of the game.
Very productive though. I would imagine he will be in on 3rd Downs only I think he is 6’3” 230 pounds. Buys like Cam Brown is the size they usually look for at 6’5” 260 pounds. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.

tl65taog: yes the fumbling problem has to be fixed, but you have to be fair about it
