Rankings are fun but they are like opinions everyone has one. I believe there was a recent post in the margin of the board where Nate Burleson of Good Morning NFL was interviewing Blake Griffin and he stated in his mind Saquon was the best RB in the NFL if healthy.
What matters are the W's, L's and who is left standing in Feb. I believe that's why the professionals in the sport, like John Mara, won't make comments that DG has to win 10 games to be a success. Slapping a number on something doesn't always accurately reflect the product or improvement or success.
As Gordon stated above Saquon will hopefully be one of many explosive weapons the Giants have this year. Hopefully they team uses all these weapons in the most efficient manner possible and the result is a powerful offense. If that happens and Saquon only runs for 1000 yards and maybe 8 TD but we're scoring 28 or 30 a game does that mean he's not a great running back ?
You want to be Top 5? PLAY. Stop dancing around and high-stepping when you're surrounded by defenders with nowhere to go and just go down and line up for the next play. If the Giants have taught Barkley anything at all it should be that.
If she had been stuffed a yard behind the line of scrimmage, then…yeah.
"The thing that makes him (Saquon Barkley) different is he has the feet and speed of a little guy, with the power and strength of a big guy," Gettleman said. "That’s what makes him so darn unique. He’s different. It’s like he was touched by the hand of God, frankly."
Respect has to be earned. Barkley hasn’t really earned it. Between health and lack of blocking. Barkley hasn’t been the back the Giants drafted him to be. Some is on injuries, some on the play around him and some is on Barkley himself (trying to bounce it to much, blocking etc)
Are you suggesting he WASN’T touched by the hand of God?
How dare anyone suggest that the immaculate Barkley was not touched by the hand of god. I happen to know for a fact that he was touched by the hand of god. This isn't mere speculation, mind you, it is a FACT.
"The Giants are 15-33 ever since they drafted Barkley and W.Hernandez in 2018 and a big reason for that lousy record: they drafted Barkley and W.Hernandez in 2018." --Sunshine
AmaniToomerToeDrag: Wouldn't it be so 2020 for the Giants to not only make the playoffs, but to pull off the greatest playoff push in NFL history? Beat the Bills in the Super Bowl. One could dream. Speaking of Dream, what a stud that Daniel Jones is at QB. 😉Later Haters😉
